The ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ is a member of the Michigan Higher Education Recruitment Consortium to assist dual career couples in finding employment opportunities at other colleges and universities in the region.

The works to find effective ways to assist the spouses and partners of faculty and staff to secure area employment and ways to address issues of faculty and staff diversity.

Founded in 1877 by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ is Michigan's largest and most comprehensive Catholic university. In 1990, University of ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ consolidated with Mercy College of ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ, which was founded in 1941 by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, to form ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ. (See more University history.)
