How does my gift make a difference?

The more people who choose to give, the greater the collective impact will be. In fiscal year 2023, 225 faculty and staff donors made gifts to the ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy Annual Fund and other designations, which contributed over $195K in support.

  • Ìý

I work at ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy, why should I also give money to the University?

Gifts to ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy have a powerful effect on the University’s ability to remain a top tier institution.  It is hard to ask the community to support ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy if we don’t believe in our work enough to invest in it ourselves. Corporations and foundations look for high level of support from our faculty and staff when making funding decisions, as well.

Note:  ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all gifts are tax-deductible.

  • Ìý

Student’s pay tuition.Ìý Why does ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy need charitable support?

It may be surprising, but tuition covers only 73% of the actual cost of a ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy education. Gifts to ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy help cover some of the remaining cost. You might think of donations as silent scholarships provided by generations of ÁùºÏ²Ê²Êͼ Mercy alumni, parents and friends, even those who pay full tuition have benefited.
